Farmers have been stopped at the Haryana border

.The 'jatha' was stopped due to multi-layered barricading put up by Haryana security personnel. Ignoring prohibitory orders, the farmers tried to cross the barricades but the security personnel stopped them and fired several rounds of tear gas shells to make them go back to their protest site at Shambhu in Punjab. On the action of security personnel against the protesting farmers, Pandher said the BJP government at the Centre has been exposed. "What did they do yesterday? People are angry with this action. People are asking the BJP that since the farmers were not carrying tractor-trolleys with them, why were they not allowed to proceed," Pandher said.

Earlier the foot march was postponed.

On Friday, protesting farmers suspended their march towards the national capital after some farmers were injured when security personnel fired tear gas shells at the Punjab-Haryana border. Farmers are pressing for the fulfillment of various demands, including a legal guarantee for Minimum Support Price (MSP).
