After Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal announced his resignation, his mentor Anna Hazare said that he had advised Kejriwal not to join politics, but he did not listen to him. During this time, Anna Hazare also appeared angry with Kejriwal. Arvind Kejriwal had been with Anna Hazare for years, had led a movement under his leadership and then Kejriwal broke away from the same movement and formed a political party, against which Anna is still protesting.

What did Anna Hazare say about Kejriwal's resignation?

Speaking to the media in his hometown Ralegan-Sidhi, Anna Hazare said he had warned Kejriwal not to enter politics and instead continue serving society, which would bring him more happiness. "I told Kejriwal repeatedly not to enter politics. Serve society and you will become a great person. We were together for many years and during that time, I often told him that social service brings happiness. Increased happiness, but he did not take those words to heart. Today, what was to happen has happened. How can I know what is really in his heart?" he said.

Anna has criticized Kejriwal earlier too.

This is not the first time that Anna Hazare has expressed his displeasure and disagreement with Kejriwal. Earlier in April 2024, Hazare had criticized Kejriwal over his arrest, saying that it was the result of his own deeds. Hazare had said- "I am very upset that Arvind Kejriwal, who worked with me and raised his voice against alcohol, is now making a liquor policy. His arrest is due to his own deeds."

Kejriwal surprised everyone

On Sunday, Arvind Kejriwal suddenly announced that he will resign from the post of CM after two days and will demand early elections in Delhi. He said that until the people give him a "certificate of honesty", he will not sit on the chair of the Chief Minister. Kejriwal came out of jail on Friday and today he announced this.
