Hyundai Motor India Q2 Results: Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL)'s profit fell 16 percent to Rs 1,375 crore in the July-September quarter of the current financial year. Giving this information on Tuesday, the company said that its profit has fallen due to weak market sentiment and geopolitical factors. In the same quarter of the previous financial year, the company's profit was Rs 1,628 crore.

There is also a drop in income.

HMIL said in a notice to the stock exchange that its total operating income during the quarter was Rs 17,260 crore, which was Rs 18,660 crore in the same quarter of the previous financial year. That is, its income also decreased.

How many vehicles were sold in total

The company said that it sold a total of 1,91,939 passenger vehicles during the September quarter. The company's sales in the domestic market stood at 1,49,639 vehicles. The sports utility vehicle (SUV) segment has a major contribution in this.

The company has also exported 42,300 passenger vehicles.

Big plan for Creta EV

Unsoo Kim, Managing Director, HMIL, said, “Despite sluggish market activity, we have successfully maintained profitability in the first half of the current financial year, primarily due to our proactive and sustained cost control measures.”

He added, “We will be launching the Creta EV in a big way in the coming months and we hope that it will bring about a big change in the electric vehicle market.”

Meanwhile, the company's stock is showing weakness on Tuesday. At around 3:15 pm on BSE, it is down by Rs 32 or 1.76 percent at Rs 1790.30.
