Nashik Agniveer Death: A major accident took place at the Artillery Center in Nashik. Two Agniveers died due to a cannonball exploding during a training session here. It is being told that another one is also injured and is undergoing treatment in the hospital. The two deceased have been identified as Gohil Singh and Saifat Sheet.
According to the information received, this incident happened when the soldiers were engaged in live fire practice during a routine training session at Nashik Artillery Center. Officials said that while loading the cannon, the shell suddenly exploded, in which both the Agniveers were injured. They were immediately taken to the military hospital, where both of them died during treatment.
Police started investigation
On the other hand, media reports have said that a case has been registered in this regard at the Deolali Camp Police Station. The police have also started investigating the case. Officials said that the incident happened around noon. It is being told that under the Agneepath scheme, both the Agniveers had joined the Tophkhana Center located on Nashik Road last year.
