AUS vs PAK, Australia Team New Captain: Australia's T20 team will have a new captain for the series against Pakistan next month, as several key players are preparing for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy against India. Due to the clash in the schedule of the series, Australia Cricket has chosen a new leader for the T20 team. In the absence of Mitchell Marsh, Josh Inglis, Adam Zampa, or Matt Short can be made the captain. With the absence of Australia's Test players, such as Marsh, Pat Cummins, Josh Hazlewood, Mitchell Starc, and Travis Head in this series, new players of the team have a chance to take over the leadership.

The 13-player squad selected for the matches to be held in Brisbane, Sydney, and Hobart includes many players who will try to lead the Australian team for the first time. However, the Cricket Australia Board will have to approve the appointment of a temporary captain. The team will be coached by Andre Borovec, who also led a similar team in the T20 series against India last year. Head coach Andrew McDonald and his assistant coaches Michael Di Venuto and Dan Vettori will focus on the ODIs and then Test matches against Pakistan.

Selection chief George Bailey said, "It is particularly encouraging that Xavier, Spencer, and Nathan have returned to the national team. This is another opportunity for them to prove themselves at the international level." The T20 series will also feature fast bowlers Xavier Bartlett, Spencer Johnson, and Nathan Ellis, who missed the UK tour due to injury. Spencer has recently returned to competitive cricket for South Australia, while Bartlett and Ellis are still fully recovering from injury.

The series will see young players such as Jake Fraser-McGurk, Cooper Connolly, and Sean Abbott get a chance, while Matt Short and Aaron Hardie will also be seen in roles. The squad will also have key white-ball specialists such as Adam Zampa, Glenn Maxwell, Marcus Stoinis, Tim David, and Nathan Ellis, who will guide the team against Pakistan. The three-match series will begin on November 8 and end on November 18, with the Australian Test team playing against India in Perth a few days later.
