AUSW vs NZW Highlights : Australia defeated New Zealand by 60 runs in their second match of the Women's T20 World Cup played at Sharjah Cricket Stadium. New Zealand had a challenging target of 149 runs to win, but the Kiwi team could not even play the full 20 overs in front of Australia's sharp bowling. In response to Australia's 148 runs, New Zealand's team collapsed after scoring 88 runs in 19.2 overs. For Australia, Megan Schutt and Annabel Sutherland took 3-3 wickets while Sophie Molyneux took 2 wickets. Amelia Kerr played the highest innings of 29 runs for New Zealand.

Earlier, Australia captain Alyssa Healy won the toss and decided to bat first and set a challenging score of 148 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in front of New Zealand. Beth Mooney scored 40 and Ellyse Perry scored 30 runs for Australia. Apart from this, Alyssa Healy scored 26 runs in 20 balls. Healy and Mooney, as always, gave Australia a good start. Both of them made a quick partnership of 41 runs in 32 balls for the first wicket. However, after the dismissal of these two, no batsman could survive except Ellyse Perry (30).

For New Zealand, Karr took four wickets for 26 runs in four overs while Rosemary Meyer and Brooke Halliday got two wickets each. This is Australia's second consecutive win in this T20 World Cup. In the first match, it had defeated Sri Lanka by 6 wickets.
