Saving food
Goddess Lakshmi gets angry with those who waste food. Therefore, you should strictly follow this rule that food should never be wasted. If cooked food is left over, you can feed it to animals and birds, but do not throw food in the garbage even by mistake. Chanakya says that in houses where food is not wasted, there is always a flow of money. 

Charity and virtue: 
The people of those houses who do charity and philanthropic work are definitely blessed by Goddess Lakshmi. That is why Acharya Chanakya says that a person should definitely donate according to his ability and help people in times of need.
