Ajmer Dargah: A suit has been filed in the local court claiming that there is a Shiva temple in the Dargah of Khwaja Moinuddin Hasan Chishti in Ajmer. The court on Wednesday accepted the suit for hearing and directed to issue notices to three parties. Plaintiff Vishnu Gupta's advocate Yogesh Siroja told reporters in Ajmer that the suit was heard in the court of Civil Affairs Judge Manmohan Chandel. Siroja said that there is said to be a Shiva temple in the Dargah. Worship used to be done in it earlier... A suit was filed in September 2024 to restart the worship. The court has accepted the suit and issued notices.
ASI will conduct the survey
He informed that in this regard summons have been issued to Ajmer Dargah Committee, Ministry of Minority Affairs, Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) Office-New Delhi. Plaintiff Vishnu Gupta said that we demanded that Ajmer Dargah should be declared as Sankat Mochan Mahadev Temple and if the Dargah has any kind of registration then it should be canceled. Its survey should be done through ASI and Hindus should be given the right to worship there.
He said that we told the honourable court about the basis of our case and after a long debate the court issued a notice in the evening. Gupta said that the next hearing in the court will be on December 20 and then the defendants will file their reply. We will answer whatever objections they have in it.
