Anushka Sharma, who recently stood by Virat Kohli as his lady luck during the Champions Trophy 2025, took to Instagram late at night to share a deep reflection on existence and self-identity.
Anushka Sharma’s Late-Night Thoughts
The actress posted a quote from Luigi Pirandello’s 1926 novel, One, No One and One Hundred Thousand, which explores the idea that each person exists in multiple versions in the minds of those who know them.
The quote Anushka shared:
"A different version of you exists in the minds of everyone who knows you."
It further elaborates:
"The person you think of as 'yourself' exists only for you, and even you don't really know who that is. Every person you meet, have a relationship with, or even make eye contact with on the street, creates a version of 'you' in their heads. You're not the same person to your mom, your dad, your siblings, as you are to your co-workers, your neighbors, or your friends. There are a thousand different versions of yourself out there in people's minds. A 'you' exists in each version, and yet your 'you', 'yourself', isn't really a 'someone' at all."
Her philosophical reflection struck a chord with many fans, resonating with the idea of multiple perceptions of identity.
