Ashoka Buildcon share price : Shares of civil construction firm Ashoka Buildcon rose 8 percent to Rs 272 per share on the BSE on Monday. The surge in Ashoka Buildcon's share price came after the construction company received a letter of acceptance (LoA) for projects worth Rs 3,982.25 crore from the Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation. According to Business Standard, these projects also include Maharashtra Municipal and Industrial Development Corporation (CIDCO) as a joint venture, with a total cost of Rs 1,673.25 crore excluding GST.

Besides, Ashoka Buildcon secured an LOA at an approved bid price of Rs 310 crore for the construction of a bridge over Bankot Creek connecting Kollamandla to Veshvi in Raigad. The company is engaged in the business of construction of infrastructure facilities and the sale of ready-mixed concrete on an engineering procurement and construction basis (EPC) and build, operate, and transfer (BOT) basis.

Ashoka Buildcon achieved a 148% jump in its standalone net profit in Q1 FY25 to Rs 40.80 crore as against Rs 16.40 crore in the same quarter last year.

The company's total income grew 22 percent year-on-year (YoY) to Rs 1,900.80 crore from Rs 1,557.20 crore in the same period. Additionally, the EBITDA margin improved by 150 basis points (bps) to 7.6 percent from 6.1 percent.
