Melbourne: Former Australian wicketkeeper-batsman Brad Haddin believes that the Indian team, which won the rain-affected Kanpur Test against Bangladesh with a very aggressive attitude, can repeat the same performance on the Australia tour next month. India won this Test with a rapid batting and aggressive bowling despite having only one session of play in the first three days and swept the two-match series.

Indian team played great cricket.

Haddin praised Indian captain Rohit Sharma for playing the Test match in this style. Haddin said on the 'LISTNR' podcast, 'He created an opportunity to win the match. He was not keeping in mind how many runs he had to score while batting. His focus was on the time needed to get Bangladesh out. The Indian team played great cricket, it was about giving the team time to win. I would like to congratulate Rohit Sharma and the members of the coaching team for this performance.'

For Rohit, victory comes first, and everything else later.

After bowling out Bangladesh for 233 in the first innings, Indian batsmen made the record of fastest 50, 100, 150, 200 and 250 in Test cricket. After declaring the innings at 285 for 9 in just 34.4 overs, India bowled out Bangladesh cheaply in the second innings and achieved the target of 95 runs for victory by losing three wickets. Haddin said, 'Rohit is such a player. For him, victory comes first and everything else comes later and the Indian team played with the same spirit and created an opportunity for themselves to win the Test match. I like this style of their cricket.'

Team India can do the same against Australia too.

When Haddin was asked if India could do the same against Australia, he said, 'I really believe so. If you look at this result (against Bangladesh), the worst result for India would have been a draw. India had no fear of losing the match. Rohit had nothing to lose. It was so good to see this. This is a great way to win Test cricket.' The Indian team has won the Test series on both its previous tours of Australia.
