Mahayogi Gorakhnath Ayush University UP Admission Process: The construction work of the state's first Ayush University in Gorakhpur is expected to be completed by the end of this month. In this university named after Mahayogi Guru Gorakhnath, along with traditional courses on all medical systems related to Ayush, unique courses will also be run as per the requirements of today. Regarding this, on the instructions of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the officers of the Ayush Department are engaged in a comparative study of Ayush courses being run in other states of the country so that more new courses to be run here can be drafted. At present, a framework has been prepared to run a dozen courses including a PhD.

The foundation stone was laid on 28 August 2021

The foundation stone of Mahayogi Guru Gorakhnath Ayush University being built in an area of ​​52 acres in Pipri of Bhathat was laid by the then President Ram Nath Kovind on 28 August 2021. Ayush University is one of the dream projects of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. After the foundation stone laying, he came here several times and inspected the construction work. Now its construction is almost complete. Whatever work is left related to finishing is also expected to be completed by 30 November 2024.

It is noteworthy that before the existence of Ayush University, there were separate institutions for the medical systems of Ayurveda, Unani, Homeopathy, Naturopathy, Yoga, and Siddha, which are collectively called AYUSH. But, from the session 2021-22, all the government and private AYUSH colleges of the state are now regulated by the AYUSH University. In the current session 2024-25, 97 AYUSH teaching (Ayurveda, Homeopathy, and Unani) colleges/institutions of the state are affiliated with this university. In this session, a total of about seven thousand students are studying undergraduate and postgraduate courses in all these colleges.

Vice Chancellor of Mahayogi Guru Gorakhnath Ayush University, Prof. AK Singh says that along with graduation and post-graduation, many more employment-oriented courses will be started by the wishes of the Chief Minister. The upcoming action plan made by the Ayush University regarding the courses includes PhD, BSc Nursing Ayurveda, B Pharma Ayurveda, B Pharma Homeopathy, B Pharma Unani, Panchkarma Assistant Diploma, Panchkarma Therapist Diploma, Diploma for Foreign Students, Ksharsutra Diploma, Agnikarma Diploma, Uttarvasti Diploma and Yoga Naturopathy Diploma. Apart from this, some certificate courses will also be started.
