BPSC 70th CCE 2024 News: Bihar Public Service Commission ( BPSC ) is going to conduct BPSC 70th CCE Re-Exam on 4 January 2025. This rescheduled exam will be conducted in Patna. The exam was cancelled after allegations of paper leak at Bapu Examination Center in Patna and a police complaint was filed against 50-60 people. After this, Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) announced the rescheduled date of the 70th Combined Competitive Examination. Now this exam will be conducted on 4 January 2025.

Notification issued for re-examination

A notification regarding this decision was issued by the Office of the Controller of Examinations, BPSC on December 19, 2024. The commission said that this decision has been taken in the interest of the candidates to ensure a fair and smooth examination process.

what was the whole matter

On December 13, a large number of candidates created a ruckus at the Bapu exam centre in Kumhrar area, alleging paper leak and delay in distribution of question papers. Later, on the complaint of the duty magistrate of the exam centre, the police registered a case against 50 to 60 unidentified youths at Agam Kuan police station. Due to the ruckus, the BPSC cancelled the exam held at the Bapu exam centre, where there were about 12,000 candidates. However, only 5,500 candidates successfully submitted their OMR sheets.

Only the exam held at Bapu examination center in Patna was cancelled

The exam was conducted at 912 centres across Bihar, but only the Bapu exam centre in Patna was cancelled. Meanwhile, Patna police have made a major breakthrough in the case and arrested a man for creating mayhem during the 70th BPSC combined exam held at the Bapu exam centre on December 13. The arrested person has been identified as Manish Kumar, a resident of Jagatpur in Supaul district, who was allegedly involved in creating chaos during the exam.

BPSC 70th CCE 2024 Vacancies

Patna Deputy Superintendent of Police Atulesh Jha confirmed the arrest and said several question papers missing from the exam hall were recovered from Manish Kumar. "We scanned CCTV footage from the Bapu exam centre and identified the alleged candidate Manish Kumar. The missing question papers and an Android mobile phone were recovered from him," Jha said.
