Delhi Premier League 2024: Delhi Premier League 2024 (DPL 2024) will start from 17th August i.e. Saturday and all the matches of this tournament will be played at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. In the first match of this league, the Delhi 6 team will face Delhi Superstars and a grand opening ceremony will be organized before this match.

Badshah and Sonam Bajwa will perform

Famous rapper Badshah and film actress Soman Bajwa will perform in this opening ceremony. Sonam Bajwa, popular among the youth, informed her fans about performing in DPL 2024 through a video on social media. The opening ceremony will start at 5.30 pm.

Delhi 6 to face South Delhi Superstars

Talking about the first match of the first season of Delhi Premier League, Delhi 6 will face South Delhi Superstars and this match will start at 8.30 pm. Indian team's wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant and Team India's senior fast bowler Ishant Sharma will also be seen playing in this match for Delhi 6. However, Pant will play only in the first match this season and after that, he will take part in the Duleep Trophy, due to which he will not be able to play in the later match for Delhi 6.

Apart from Pant and Ishant, some other players playing in the IPL will also be seen playing in the match to be held on Saturday, including Ayush Badoni who will captain the South Delhi team. The South Delhi team also has players like Kuldeep Yadav and Shubham Dubey. Both these players are representing Rajasthan Royals in the IPL. Women's matches will also be played in this league. A total of 40 matches will be organized in DPL 2024, in which 7 matches of women and 33 matches of men will be played. The final match of this league will be played on 8 September 2024.
