Baba Siddique Murder Case : Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said on Sunday that the police have got some clues in connection with the murder of Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader and former minister Baba Siddique. Fadnavis, who is in charge of the state's home department, told reporters in the Gondia district, "The murder is being investigated from various angles but the police will give information about it later.
Baba Siddiqui was very close to Fadnavis!
Siddiqui (66), who joined the Ajit Pawar-led NCP after quitting the Congress in February this year, was shot dead by three men right outside his son's office in Kher Nagar in Mumbai's Bandra area. Siddiqui was rushed to Lilavati Hospital where he was declared dead. Fadnavis said, "We are all shocked by this horrific and tragic incident. Baba Siddiqui was very close to me, we had worked together for many years.''
What did Deputy CM Fadnavis say about the clue?
The BJP leader said, 'Some clues have been found but I cannot disclose them right now. Some aspects have also been found behind the attack but the police will give information about it after the legal process is completed.' Nationalist Congress Party (Sharadchandra Pawar) chief Sharad Pawar targeted the state government and said that there is a need to take responsibility for this incident and the ministers need to resign.
Did Lawrence Bishnoi's gang commit the crime?
When asked about Sharad Pawar's comments, Fadnavis said, "Even after such serious incidents, he (Sharad Pawar) only wants to gain power. His eyes are on power while our eyes are on Maharashtra and its development and security." A Mumbai Police official said on Sunday that they have found a post viral on social media in the name of an alleged member of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, in which responsibility for Siddiqui's murder has been mentioned.
The officer said, 'We have seen a post going viral on social media and we are verifying its authenticity.'
