Tejashwi Yadav: Leader of Opposition in Bihar and former Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav on Saturday announced to start 'Mai Behin Maan Yojana' if the government is formed. Announcing this in Darbhanga, he said that if the Mahagathbandhan government is formed in Bihar, then 'Mai-Behin Maan Yojana' will be started, under which Rs 2,500 will be given per month for the upliftment of women.
While talking to journalists in Darbhanga, he said that the reconstruction of Bihar will not happen without the prosperity of women. Under the scheme, Rs 2,500 will be transferred every month to the bank account of every woman of Bihar. He said that this scheme will help in empowering women economically. Due to inflation, today women are neither able to wear clothes of their choice nor eat food. Women will be able to spend the money of this scheme for the welfare of the family, education of children and health services. This scheme will help women to start small businesses.
Questions raised on Nitish's Mahila Samvad Yatra
Targeting the Bihar government, RJD leader Tejaswi Yadav said that bureaucracy is rampant in the whole of Bihar. The officials here are using their hands, feet, sticks etc. on the youth. There is no such thing as government left in Bihar. The officials are doing as they please. Raising questions about the proposed 'Mahila Samvad Yatra' of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, he said that the Chief Minister is spending so much on his tour, which no Chief Minister of Bihar has done till date. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is going to spend 2 billion 25 crore 78 lakhs on the Samvad Yatra.
