IIT Kanpur has developed a portable toothbrush-like device that can help detect oral cancer in its primary stage. If the work continues as per expectations, this device will be available for sale in the market by the end of the year. This device has been named 'Mouh Parikshak'.
How many people were tested?
A senior scientist of the Chemical Engineering Department of IIT Kanpur has developed this device. While developing this device, he also tested it on about 3 thousand people in Kanpur City. All these people were working in different fields.
How much will it cost?
However, the final model of this device has not been prepared yet. Due to this, its price has not been decided yet, but it is expected that the price of this device is going to be around 1.5 lakh rupees. However, its specialty is that you can test about 5 lakh people with one device. Due to this, it is going to prove to be quite economical.
