Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath launched the scholarship scheme for Sanskrit students of the state from Sampurnanand Sanskrit University on Sunday. On this occasion, he started the distribution of scholarships worth ₹ 586 lakh to 69,195 Sanskrit students of the state. On this occasion, underlining the importance of Sanskrit and Indian culture, Yogi Adityanath said that there is a plan to implement the Gurukul education system again across the state. He said that this tradition is our real strength and only with this India can emerge as a world leader. The Chief Minister announced that additional facilities will be given to Gurukul institutions, in which institutions providing free hostel and food for students will get special assistance from the government. Such institutions will also be given the freedom to appoint good Acharyas.

Sanskrit is the language of science.

During the program, Yogi Adityanath said that Sanskrit is not only Devvaani (the language of Gods) but it is also the language of science, which is useful in modern technologies like computer science and artificial intelligence. He said that the features of Sanskrit make it simple and easy from a technical point of view. That is why we are working towards new efforts for the preservation and promotion of Sanskrit.

Open bank accounts for all students

Explaining the importance of the scholarship scheme in the program, the Chief Minister said that earlier only 300 students of Sanskrit used to get scholarships, and even in that, the age limit was fixed, but now our government has resolved to make it available to all the students. 69,195 Sanskrit students in the state will be benefited under this scheme. He also directed to open bank accounts of all the students, so that they can get the benefit of scholarships directly and safely.

The government is promoting special research in Sanskrit.

To promote the Sanskrit language further, Yogi Adityanath said that the state government is encouraging specific research in Sanskrit through the Vedic Science Center established at Kashi Hindu University. Special scholarships will also be given to the students doing research in this center so that they can pursue their research without financial worries. He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, the time of Indian culture, Sanatan Dharma, and India has come. Sanskrit students will have to prepare themselves to lead the time of India.
