PCB Statement: The Pakistan Cricket Board has clarified reports of the Champions Trophy 2025 final being shifted from Lahore to Dubai. A report in The Telegraph on Tuesday said that if India qualifies for the final, the title match could be shifted to Dubai due to the ongoing political tension between the two countries. Now a statement has come from the Pakistan Cricket Board on this.

Will the Champions Trophy final be shifted?

The Telegraph report said that apart from the final, the semi-finals can also be shifted. Let us tell you that India has not visited Pakistan since July 2008, the main reason for which is tense political relations. Due to this, bilateral series and tournaments are not being organized on Pakistani soil. Due to this issue, Pakistan is now in danger of losing the hosting of the Champions Trophy.

PCB's statement came

The PCB immediately took note of these claims and denied any such move, Pakistan-based Dunya News reported. The board confirmed that Pakistan will host the entire Champions Trophy, saying, “Despite the ongoing political tensions between India and Pakistan, the PCB remains firm in its stance to ensure a successful and seamless tournament.”

'Hosting will be in Pakistan only...'

The PCB further said, 'There is no truth in the reports that the Champions Trophy final could be held outside Pakistan. We are working diligently to ensure that all preparations for the tournament are in the right direction and we are confident that Pakistan will be able to host a memorable event.'
