Chatra Naxal Encounter: After Chhattisgarh, now the police have started eliminating Naxalites in Jharkhand. In Chatra, Jharkhand, the police have killed two Naxalites, one of whom is a commander.

Sub zonal commander killed

At least two Naxalites were killed in an encounter between the police and the armed squad of the banned Naxalite organization TSPC (Third Conference Presentation Committee) in the Ganiyatori forest of Chatra district of Jharkhand on Wednesday evening. They have been identified as the organization's sub-zonal commanders Harendra Ganjhu and Ishwar. The police have also arrested a Naxalite from the spot. An AK-47 has also been recovered. Chatra SP Vikas Pandey has confirmed the killing of two Naxalites.

Encounter in Ganiyotri forest.

It was told that on the information of the activities of the armed squad of Naxalites in the Ganiotri forest area situated on the border of Sadar police station and Vashishtnagar Jori police station area, a team of police and security forces led by SDPO of Chatra Sadar area Sandeep Suman had gone on a search operation. Meanwhile, the Naxalites hiding in the forest started firing on the security forces.

Two soldiers were martyred earlier.

In response, the police also took the front and opened fire. The Naxal squad was led by TSPC sub-zonal commander Harendra Ganjhu. In February this year, there was an encounter between the police and the Naxals in the Bario forest of the same police station area, in which two soldiers were martyred.
