Giving this information, Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said that the Union Cabinet has approved Phase 2 of Chennai Metro at a project cost of Rs 63,246 crore. Phase 2, which is a 119 km long project, will be divided into 3 corridors and will have 120 stations.

Further, the Union Minister said that the second phase of Chennai Metro will have 120 stations so that more and more people can use the metro within walking distance from their homes.
