New Delhi, 27 October 2024: 25-year-old Sophia Swing of the US defeated Cao Pei Chuan of Chinese Taipei, seeded first in the tournament, to win the title in the Pro (Open) Women's Singles final of the PWR DUPR India Masters played at the RK Khanna Tennis Academy in New Delhi. Sophia Swing won the title by defeating Cao Pei Chuan 11-3, 11-2 in straight games.

Sofia won the first game 11-3

In the first game of the title match, Cao Pei Chuan of Chinese Taipei won the first point and quickly doubled her lead. After this, Sofia Swing made a comeback and scored eight consecutive points to take a lead of 8-2. Even after the break, Sofia continued to score points and reached the set point with a margin of 10-3 and then won the first game with a margin of 11-3 to take an early lead of 1-0 in the match.

The Chinese Taipei player was not given a chance even in the second game.

In the second game as well, Sofia continued her excellent form and rhythm and took an early lead of 5-0. Cao Pei Chuan looked pale in front of Sofia's aggressive play. The Chinese Taipei player had to wait a long time to get the first point in the second game. By the break in the second game, Sofia had taken a 5-1 lead and appeared to be moving towards the title. Sofia maintained her dominance in the match and after taking a 7-1 lead, she allowed the opponent to take the second point in the game. Sofia did not make any mistake after this and reached the match point with a score line of 10-2 and finally won the second game and the title with 11-2.
