Delhi Metro: A suspicious drone was seen on the Delhi Metro track on Wednesday, after which the metro service was stopped and the drone was investigated. The owner of the drone is being questioned. Metro service was resumed after the drone was removed.

What did DMRC say

According to DMRC, services on the Blue Line were disrupted from 02:50 pm to 03:29 pm today as a drone was seen lying on the tracks between Uttam Nagar East and Uttam Nagar West metro stations. To ensure proper safety and security protocols, the drone was removed from the tracks by security personnel.

From where to where the service was disrupted

During this period, metro services were not available between Uttam Nagar East and Uttam Nagar West. Train services were provided on a single line between Uttam Nagar East and Janakpuri West and between Uttam Nagar West and Dwarka. Officials said that during this period, train services were available on both the lines on the rest of the Blue Line i.e. Janakpuri West to Vaishali / Noida Electronic City and Dwarka to Dwarka Sector-21 section.

Service restored after security clearance.

He said that after security clearance, normal services on the Blue Line from Dwarka Sector 21 to Noida Electronic City/Vaishali were fully restored at 3.29 pm.
