In many areas of Delhi, AQI has crossed 450. People are facing problems like difficulty in breathing and irritation in the eyes due to pollution. After the implementation of Grape-4, many restrictions will be implemented in Delhi-NCR from tomorrow. Under this, apart from primary schools in Delhi, schools above class 6 will also be closed. State governments can run online classes in Delhi and NCR.

Earlier, Delhi State BJP President Virendra Sachdeva had demanded the closure of both private and government schools up to class 5 to protect children from dangerous air quality. At the same time, many schools in Delhi had banned children from going out as a precautionary measure. However, later Delhi Chief Minister Atishi Marlena also issued an order to run online classes in all primary schools.
