Muzaffarnagar: Police and administration raided two cafes in Swaroop Plaza Market located at Mahavir Chowk in the district. During this, police arrested 40 to 50 young men and women, most of whom are school-college students. Beer bottles and other objectionable items were recovered from the cafe. According to the police, immoral activities were being conducted at these illegally operated cafes. The administration team also recovered objectionable items from the spot. Police have taken the cafe operator, young men and women present on the spot into custody and started questioning them.
Both cafes are sealed
According to the information received, these cafes were operating for the last several years. The team of the Food Safety Department also reached the spot and took samples of all the food items. At present, these two cafes do not have any registration with the Food Safety Department. In this case, there is also talk of sealing both the cafes.
The police had received information from an informer that wrongdoings were being encouraged in the name of money in a market located at Mahavir Chowk. On receiving the information, CO City Vyom Bindal and City Magistrate Vikas Kashyap, along with Inspector-in-Charge of Civil Lines Police Station Ashutosh Kumar, reached the spot with a heavy police force and conducted a raid. Sensation spread in the area on receiving the news of the raid.
