England Playing XI : England's playing XI has been announced for the second Test to be played between Pakistan and England from Tuesday. The interesting thing is that captain Ben Stokes has returned. He has been out of the team since last August due to a hamstring injury. Two changes have been made in the England team in the second Test against Pakistan. Apart from Ben Stokes, Matthew Potts has been included in the playing XI. He has been included in the playing XI in place of Gus Atkinson while Stokes has replaced fast bowler Chris Woakes. Apart from this, England has retained both spinners Shoaib Bashir and Jack Leach in their final XI.
According to the team management, Stokes has bowled and batted in the nets in the last few days without any discomfort and the medical experts have cleared him to return. The 33-year-old all-rounder last played in the Hundred, where he suffered an injury in August, which ruled him out of the entire three-match series against Sri Lanka at home. He also missed the first Test against Pakistan here.
Pakistan are yet to name their final XI although the selectors on Sunday dropped Babar Azam, Shaheen Shah Afridi, and Naseem Shah for the remaining two Tests and also dropped Sarfraz Ahmed from the squad.
