On January 10, 2025, Sonu Sood's directorial, Fateh, was made available in cinemas. He also shared the screen with Jacqueline Fernandez and Akashdeep Sheeba, who appear in significant roles. Sheeba also performed admirably in the role and was able to move people. Sheeba discussed her endeavors alongside Sood and gave an insightful assessment of his directorial abilities during an exclusive Zoom Interview. Excerpts

How does it feel to be a part of Fateh?

Speaking candidly, I am quite excited about being a part of Fateh, for it is unlike any role I have ever played previously. It’s an uncomplicated, strong character with no make up being used.

Tell us about your role in Fateh?

I have taken up a role of a stereotypical Punjabi women often depicted in the region when it comes to looking like a Punjabi mother. Mr Sonu was extremely precise with regards to this role. No heavy woolens and sans cosmetics at all. This was our outlook and I enjoyed exploring the sensitive side of the narrative.

How will you rate the emotional aspect of the movie Fateh and would it be fair to say it is tough for you?

Honestly, I was phenomenally empowered to perform in a couple of potent scenes that were quite emotionally riveting and real.

Could you tell me about your off-screen rapport with Sonu Sood and Jacqueline Fernandez?

Sonu Sood is a precious family friend because I consider him part of my family, he and his wife are good friends of mine. I loved working with Jackie, she’s very sweet and a very down-to-earth nice person to be with.  

Since Fateh is Sonu Sood's first time as a film director how will you explain him as an actor and a director ?

As his directing debut, Sonu was good. He doesn’t miss any detail. That makes all the difference. Working with a director who is an actor as well offers a different experience and goes a long way in making the experience superior.

You have been working in this industry for more than 30 years. How have you seen the entertain sphere evolve?

The change has occurred in abundance, with the industry being more corporative and organized. Compared to my initial experience in the sector today’s industry is undoubtedly far more organized. I'm looking forward to greater and better prospects in the years to come.

Are there any larger-than-life films you wish to see once more? With the current trend of classic movies being hitched and dragged out of time, there is a chance that such a flick could forward into existence.

A good film to bring back for m That was together quite a good immaculately splendid film plus I honestly think it could do really great even now.

There’s obviously a lot of demand concerning her fans along with for the talented myriad 90s divas who have gone back to the industry for key roles. Do I expect you to continue pushing boundaries and surpass my own expectations in future projects? Absolutely. You surely have an impact, so I know you can speak as an actress with such a powerful effect. To me, that's exceedingly impressive.

There is quite a lot for me in this particular voyage that excites me a lot. My calendar is rapidly filling up with great movies from prestigious houses, and I am collaborating with some of the best filmmakers on intense and exciting roles that are sure to hit the box office. You'll be surprised by how diverse the roles are, and I'm ready to give it my all while I still have my toes in the water. But right now, I'm going full throttle and giving it my all.

Where do you think the current social trend towards violent movies is heading and will it persist?

He was so much into this film and character which was very captivating. When I first began the film, I did not anticipate the level of intensity and quantity that both the global technicians and the crew would reach in any way.
