Bollywood actor, Saif Ali Khan made the headlines after he was stabbed six times inside his Bandra residence during a knife assault. The actor was immediately taken to a private hospital in Mumbai, with the assistance of his actor-son Ibrahim, who arrived in an auto-rickshaw,  Khan previously posted an Instagram story showing him in a hospital bed, claiming that his life isn’t in danger after surgery.

The footage indicated that the house was unoccupied for the two hours preceding the assault and this has made the authorities conclude that the invader had, in fact, gained late access into the residence. The attacker was basing his evidence on the assumption that the said aim of the assault was robbery, which also compromised the integrity of the home itself.

She had been working as a children’s caregiver for four years. According to her, his residence, Saif Ali Khan’s, is on the higher floors, precisely the 11th and 12th levels of the structure.

On the clock of 11 PM on the 15th of January, she had decided to sleep for the night, she was awakened by some sound, sometime around 2 AM, and then she realized that the light in the bathroom which is near the door had been turned on. She had thought that perhaps it was Kareena Ma’am and went back to sleep. However, after some time, she began to believe that there was someone close again, near the bathroom.

1. Mumbai police, while addressing a press conference, confirmed that the accused entered Khan's home using the fire escape. The intention of the accused is to steal from the actor’s house. Now last night the accused entered the house of Saif Ali Khan through a fire escape staircase. We are still investigating further but at this point, it seems to be a robbery. We are working on arresting the accused. There are 10 units engaged in the case and we are making progress. The case has been reported at Bandra Police Station, said Dixit Gedam DCP Zone 9 Of the police

2. The caretaker of the Saif Ali Khan’s children was the first to see the accused at around 2 AM. It was a man wearing a cap. The guy who went in this time to Jeh’s room had a hex blade in his hand.

The caretaker made an inquiry about his needs which the attacker promptly answered, “I want money.” When asked how much he wanted, he answered in English saying, “1 crore.” She tried to oppose him using a wooden stick but he soon turned on her. Later, Khan took over and began to struggle with the intruder who in turn, attacked Khan.

4. The assaulter made use of the Fire escape staircase to gain access into Saif’s house, the Mumbai Police reported. CCTV footage indicated that there were no new entries two hours preceding the attack.

5. The police suspect that the assailant may have made earlier access into the place and lain in wait for the right time to attack. Officials believe that there is an element of conspiracy as one of the house helps is being interrogated for permitting the attacker to gain access into the house.
