GST Collection in December 2024: According to the latest official data released on January 1, 2025, the gross GST collection in December 2024 stood at Rs 1,76,857 crore, which is 7.3 percent higher than December 2023. According to government data released on Wednesday, Central GST (CGST) collection stood at Rs 32,836 crore, State GST (SGST) at Rs 40,499 crore, Integrated GST (IGST) at Rs 47,783 crore and Cess at Rs 11,471 crore.
How much was the GST collection in November
Total GST revenue rose 7.3 per cent to Rs 1.77 lakh crore in December from Rs 1.65 lakh crore in the year-ago month. GST from domestic transactions grew 8.4 per cent to Rs 1.32 lakh crore, while revenue from taxes on imports rose nearly 4 per cent to Rs 44,268 crore.
In November, GST collection stood at Rs 1.82 lakh crore with an annual growth of 8.5 per cent. The highest ever collection was in April 2024 at over Rs 2.10 lakh crore.

How many refunds were issued
Refunds worth Rs 22,490 crore were issued during the month of December, which is 31 per cent higher than the same period last year. After adjusting for refunds, net GST collection rose 3.3 per cent to Rs 1.54 lakh crore.
