GST Collection: India's Goods and Services Tax (GST) collection for November 2024 stood at Rs 1.82 lakh crore in gross terms, showing a growth of 88.5 percent over the same period last year. According to data provided by the Finance Ministry on December 1, the collection for the April-November period is Rs 14.57 lakh crore.

According to government data released on Sunday, central GST collection stood at Rs 34,141 crore, state GST at Rs 43,047 crore, integrated IGST at Rs 91,828 crore, and cess at Rs 13,253 crore.

The total gross GST revenue grew by 88.5 percentto over Rs 1.82 lakh crore in November, as against Rs 1.68 lakh crore in the same month a year ago.

The GST collection of Rs 1.87 lakh crore in October was the second-best GST collection with a nine percent annual growth. The highest-ever collectionwas over Rs 2.10 lakh crore in April, 2024.

GST revenue from domestic transactions grew 9.4 percent to Rs 1.40 lakh crore during the month under review, while revenue from taxes on imports rose nearly six ppercent toRs 42,591 crore. Refunds worth Rs 19,259 crore were issued during the month, down 8.9 ppercent comparedto the same period last year.

After adjusting for refunds, net GST collections rose 11 percent to Rs 1.63 lakh crore.
