Tata Group-owned private airline Air India has taken a special initiative regarding entertainment services for its passengers. Air India has started providing wireless entertainment service during flights in its existing wide-bodied aircraft. According to Bhasha news, a statement issued said that the new entertainment service Vista, which was recently introduced during a flight in the existing aircraft fleet, will also be made available in smaller aircraft.

The airline is working on improving its old fleet

According to the news, many passengers have been complaining about malfunctions and non-functioning of the in-flight entertainment system in some Air India planes. The airline is in the process of updating its old fleet and adding new aircraft. One thing to note is that this service will not be available in the recently inducted B777 and A350 aircraft. It has been said that Vista has been added to the existing fleet of large aircraft to provide uninterrupted entertainment to the customers.

Air India has an operational fleet of 140 aircraft

Air India's new larger aircraft have new entertainment systems. The airline has an operational fleet of 140 aircraft. With Vista, passengers can enjoy entertainment content on their personal electronic devices. It will also have a live map display for flight tracking.

Air India Express has started six new flights

Air India Express has recently launched six new daily flights including Chennai and Kolkata to strengthen its domestic network. The new flights include two from Kolkata, three from Chennai, and the first direct flight on the Guwahati-Jaipur sector. The new flights have been launched in Chennai-Bhubaneswar, Chennai-Bagdogra, Chennai-Thiruvananthapuram, Kolkata-Varanasi, Kolkata-Guwahati, and Guwahati-Jaipur sectors.
