This will be the first coaching role in IPL for Parthiv, who retired in 2020. Parthiv has played the role of talent scout for Mumbai Indians from 2021 to 2023. He has also been the batting coach of MI Emirates in the first season of ILT20 in 2023.
Immense experience of playing in the IPL
Parthiv Patel has a lot of experience playing in IPL. He represented 6 franchises between 2008 and 2019. During this time, he was part of the champion team 3 times. He won the IPL title for the first time with Chennai Super Kings in 2010. After this, he became the winner with Mumbai Indians in 2015 and 2017. He played a total of 139 matches in IPL in which he scored 2848 runs at a strike rate of more than 120.
Talking about Gujarat Titans, after becoming the champion in the year 2022, the team was the runner-up in 2023. However, last season the team finished in the seventh position. Currently, the coaching staff of the team includes Ashish Nehra who is playing the role of head coach.
