Haryana Assembly Election 2024: Voting is going on for 90 assembly seats in Haryana. Meanwhile, voting for 90 assembly seats began in Haryana on Saturday and 9.53 percent voting has been done till 9 am. According to the data shared by the ECI, Jind recorded the highest polling of 12.71 percent, followed by Palwal at 12.45 percent and Ambala at 11.87 percent, Fatehabad at 11.81 percent and Mahendragarh at 11.51 percent till 9 am. Faridabad recorded 8.82 percent polling, while Gurgaon recorded 6.10 percent, Hisar at 8.49 percent and Jhajjar at 8.43 percent.
Voting in Haryana began at 7 am and will continue till 6 pm. A total of 1,031 candidates are contesting in all 90 assembly constituencies and 20,632 polling stations have been set up for voting. The results of the Haryana assembly elections will be declared on October 8 along with Jammu and Kashmir. The Chief Electoral Officer said that a total of 29,462 policemen, 21,196 home guards, and 10,403 special police officers (SPOs) have been deployed across the state. Strict vigil will be maintained in every corner of the state so that citizens can cast their votes without any fear.
