Haryana Women Commission Vice President Arrested : Haryana Anti Corruption Bureau has arrested Haryana Women Commission Vice President Sonia Agarwal and her driver Kulbir on charges of taking a bribe of one lakh rupees. The Anti Corruption Bureau has caught Sonia Agarwal's driver Kulbir red handed. It is being told that Sonia Agarwal had demanded bribe in exchange for settling the pending complaint in Haryana Women Commission.

What was the matter?

The Haryana Anti Corruption Bureau team had received a complaint. The complainant told that he is a JBT teacher and was married to Neelam, a resident of village Roud in district Jhajjar. Neelam is working as a sub-inspector in Haryana Police. After marriage, there was a family dispute between Neelam and the complainant. After this, Neelam filed an application against the complainant in Haryana Women's Commission on 25 November 2024. After giving the application, he was called to meet on different dates by Sonia Agarwal, Vice President of Haryana Women's Commission. During this, Sonia Agarwal's driver Kulbir asked the complainant to give a bribe to settle the matter. On 12 December 2024, Sonia Agarwal asked the complainant to give a bribe of one lakh rupees to her driver Kulbir to settle the matter.

Driver arrested red handed while taking bribe

According to the case, on December 14 (Saturday), Sonia Agarwal's driver Kulbir asked the complainant to give a bribe of Rs 1 lakh. The ACB team formed two separate teams to catch the accused. One team was sent to Kharkhoda while the other team was sent to Hisar. The ACB team succeeded in arresting driver Kulbir red-handed with a bribe of Rs 1 lakh near Jindal Park in Hisar. Sonia Agarwal was arrested from Kharkhoda in this case. The ACB team is investigating it by collecting all the necessary evidence. This entire action was done with transparency in front of witnesses. Action has been taken against the accused by registering a case in Anti Corruption Bureau, Rohtak Police Station.
