10 ministers will also take an oath
According to the information received, Hemant Soren can take oath along with his 10 ministers this time. Hemant Soren has also finalized the quota of Congress and JMM. According to reports, 6 MLAs from JMM and 4 MLAs from Congress quota can take oath as ministers.
JMM won 34 seats
The Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM)-led alliance retained power in Jharkhand by registering a landslide victory in the assembly elections with 56 seats. The JMM-led alliance won 56 seats in the 81-member assembly. 41 seats are required for a majority in the state assembly. JMM contested 43 seats and won 34, which is the highest number of seats won by the party so far. Congress won 16 seats, RJD four, and CPI (ML) two seats.
BJP suffered a big defeat
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) had to be content with just 24 seats. The BJP won 21 seats and emerged as the second-largest party in the state.
