
A 35-year-old techie, Devika, died by suicide at her apartment in Raidurgam, Cyberabad, just six months after her marriage. Her family has accused her husband, Sathish, of dowry harassment, which allegedly led her to take the extreme step.
Tragic Incident Unfolds
Devika, who married Sathish last year, was found dead in her home in Prashanti Hills under Raidurgam police station limits.
- Sunday: The couple had a heated argument, after which Sathish left the apartment.
- Devika reportedly tried calling him multiple times, but he didn’t answer.
- Late night: Sathish returned and entered the flat using a spare key.
- Assuming that Devika was asleep, he slept in another room.
- Monday Morning: When she didn’t respond, Sathish broke open the bedroom door and found her lifeless body.
- He immediately alerted the police.
Family Alleges Dowry Harassment
Devika's family claims that Sathish had been demanding property from them.
Allegations by Devika's family:
- Sathish wanted her family-owned flat in Nizampet to be registered in his name.
- He also demanded another land parcel, increasing pressure on Devika.
According to reports from The Times of India, the couple met while working at an MNC in Bengaluru and later relocated to Hyderabad after a transfer.
A Promising Career Cut Short
Devika and Sathish had been in a relationship for two years before getting married.

- Devika graduated from a premier institution in Bengaluru and was a highly skilled tech professional.
