Dubai: Pakistan Cricket Board seems to be bowing down to India's stubbornness and the ultimatum given by ICC. Pakistan Cricket Board has agreed to organize the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 on a hybrid model with one condition. Pakistan has accepted Dubai as the venue for India's match on the condition that this policy of ICC remains in force till 2031. That is, ICC tournaments organized in India should also be organized on a hybrid model and Pakistan's team should play its matches at some other venue. On this condition, PCB has agreed to host the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 on a hybrid model.

ICC gave an ultimatum to Pakistan on Friday

In the ICC Board meeting held on Friday, all the members except Pakistan agreed to organize the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 on the hybrid model. But Pakistan continued to reject it. In such a situation, the meeting was postponed till Saturday, and Pakistan was given an ultimatum to organize the tournament with the hybrid model. Otherwise, it was said that the tournament would be organized in some other country without it. After this, the PCB is going to adopt the hybrid model with a condition. Officially, the ICC has not confirmed the organization of the tournament based on the hybrid model.

The tournament will be held from February 19 to March 9

According to the pre-determined schedule, the ICC Champions Trophy was to be held in Pakistan from 19 February to 9 March at three venues in Pakistan - Lahore, Karachi, and Rawalpindii. India was given the option of playing all the matches on one ground given security. However, after the advice of the Indian government, the BCCI told the ICC that the Indian team could not go on a tour to Pakistan. Since then, there has been a lot of commotion about organizing the tournament on a hybrid model.
