Spectators Record In MCG Test: The fourth match of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy Test series between the Indian cricket team and the host Australian cricket team started today (Thursday). A record 87242 spectators gathered at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on the first day of the Boxing Day Test between India and Australia, which is a new record for a single day attendance in Test cricket between the two teams. Tickets for the first day of the fourth Test were sold out two weeks before the match.
The spectators also got to see exciting cricket on the first day when Sam Constas, who made his debut for Australia, hit two sixes off Jaspreet Bumrah in the first session. In the last session, Bumrah brought the Indian team back into the match. Australia has scored 311 runs for six wickets.
