IND vs AUS: Australia cricket team has announced the 13-member test squad for the first test of the Border Gavaskar series. Two uncapped players have got a place in this squad. Batsman Nathan McSweeney, who is performing brilliantly in domestic cricket, has won the battle of opening in the team. While white ball star Josh Inglis has also been included in the test squad starting in Perth from November 22.

McSweeney recently performed brilliantly for Australia A during the match against India A. Ricky Ponting was also looking at him as a replacement for David Warner. He is all set to open the innings with left-handed batsman Usman Khawaja.

Looking at this squad, it seems that Marnus will bat at number 4 after Labuschagne. Apart from this, Travis Head and Mitchell Marsh and wicketkeeper Alex Carey will take the responsibility of the middle order. Apart from the inclusion of Josh Inglis, there is nothing surprising in the squad.

Talking about the bowling order, Mitchell Starc, Josh Hazlewood, Scott Boland and Nathan Lyon have been included under the leadership of Pat Cummins. This five-match series is very important for both the teams because the result of this series will determine their path to the final of the World Test Championship standings. Currently, Australia is at the top of the points table while Team India is at number two.

Australia squad for first Test: Pat Cummins (captain), Scott Boland, Alex Carey, Josh Hazlewood, Travis Head, Josh Inglis, Usman Khawaja, Marnus Labuschagne, Nathan Lyon, Mitchell Marsh, Nathan McSweeney, Steve Smith, Mitchell Starc.
