IND vs AUS : Australia captain Pat Cummins has won the ODI World Cup, Ashes, and World Test Championship in his career but he has not yet won the Border Gavaskar Trophy and his goal is to conquer this last fort this time. Cummins also said that despite suffering a crushing defeat in the first Test match, his team is committed to making a comeback.

Cummins made his Test debut in 2011 but played his first Test against India in 2017. Australia have not won a Test series against India since 2014-15. Australia are trailing 0-1 in the five-match series after a crushing 295-run defeat in the first Test in Perth.

It is like conquering the final fort- Cummins.

The Australian captain told reporters on the eve of the second Test match that 'Many players in the Australian dressing room have not yet won the Border Gavaskar Trophy. For many of our players, it is like conquering the final fort. In the last few years, we have performed well by facing the challenges boldly. We need to do the same in this series as well.'

Team India is very strong- Cummins

When Cummins was asked if there was any pressure on him to win the Border Gavaskar Trophy, he said, "I don't think there is any kind of pressure on us. You are playing the series on your home ground and you want to perform well. We know that India's team is very strong and many of our players have been a part of the last three series we have lost to them."

This is a very important series: Cummins

Pat Cummins said that 'Of course, this is a very important series but we do not want to look at the results of the past. Whenever we faced India in the summer season, we always tried to perform well. Cummins does not want to compare the Ashes with the Border-Gavaskar Trophy (BGT), but he described the battle against the Indian team as the closest match in the last few years. He said, "I think this has been the closest match. I think the Ashes has a rich history, but I think the Border-Gavaskar Trophy has been a very tough series as I have seen in recent times.
