Bangladesh squad for T20 Series against India: The Bangladesh cricket team has been announced for the three-match T20 series to be played against India. All-rounder Mehdi Hasan Miraz has been recalled to Bangladesh's T20I squad after 14 months. The 26-year-old Miraz missed the T20 World Cup 2024, last playing in a bilateral series against Afghanistan in July 2023. He joins a strong spin attack that also includes Mahedi Hasan, Rakibul Hasan, and young sensation Rishad Hussain.
Left-arm spinner Rakibul Hasan and left-handed batsman Parvez Hussain Emon have also been recalled. Both of these players also did not play in the World Cup. In December 2020, Emon scored a century in 42 balls in the Bangabandhu T20 Cup, but so far he has played only three T20 matches.
Rakibul young player
Rakibul, on the other hand, was part of Bangladesh's victorious Under-19 team at the World Cup on South African soil in 2020. The youngster, who will lead the junior team in 2022, has played three T20 matches since his debut against Malaysia at the Asian Games last year.
Return of Shoriful Islam
Shoriful Islam missed the second Test against Pakistan and the two-match Test series against India due to a back injury. However, the fast bowler has returned to the seam attack, which also features Mustafizur Rahman, Tanzim Hasan Sakib, and Taskin Ahmed. Mahmudullah Riyad is the most experienced player in the team, having scored 2394 runs and taken 43 wickets in 138 T20 matches.
