On March 18, 2025, IP University signed a significant Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with St. Petersburg State University of Economics (SPbSUE), marking a major step in enhancing international relations and promoting collaboration in education, research, and cultural exchange between the two institutions.

Key Objectives of the MoU

The MoU aims to foster academic and research cooperation, enabling both universities to work together on various initiatives. Some of the key areas of collaboration include:

  • Co-advising of research students
  • Participation in seminars and conferences
  • Exchange of faculty, students, and research students
  • Exchange of academic information and materials in fields of mutual interest

This partnership will not only promote academic growth but also encourage cultural exchange, enriching the experience of students, teachers, and researchers from both universities.

The MoU Signing Ceremony

The MoU was signed online by Dr. Kamal Pathak, Registrar of IP University, and Prof. Igor A. Maximtsev, Rector of St. Petersburg State University of Economics. The virtual signing was attended by Prof. Vijita Singh Aggarwal, Director of International Affairs at IP University, and Prof. A.K. Saini, Director of Development at the university.

Future Plans: Dual-Degree Programs

In a further development, IP University’s Vice Chancellor, Padmashri Prof. (Dr.) Mahesh Verma, revealed that the two institutions are also exploring the possibility of offering dual-degree programs in collaboration with St. Petersburg State University. This would provide students with an opportunity to earn degrees from both universities, strengthening the academic ties and offering a global perspective on their studies.
