Indian Economy : Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal on Friday said that India's growth story will take the country's current $3,500 billion economy to $35,000 billion in the next 25 years. Addressing the opening session of the 'Amazing Goa Global Business Summit' 2024, Goyal said that the 21st century belongs to India and it is on its way to becoming the third largest global economy in three years.
What we are doing today is the best and the most comprehensive
Chief Minister Pramod Sawant, former Union Minister Suresh Prabhu and many other dignitaries were present at the inaugural ceremony of the summit organized on the initiative of 'Vibrant Goa Foundation'. Goyal said, "Prime Minister Narendra Modi has rightly said that the 21st century is India's century... What we are doing today is the best and the most comprehensive. "

He said, "We are working with a focused approach to make India a developed and prosperous nation by 2047, when (in 2047) we will celebrate 100 years of Independence." The minister said India's growth story will take our economy from USD 3,500 billion to USD 35,000 billion in the next 25 years.
Goyal said, "This 10-fold growth is on the basis of India's strong economic foundation. We are the fastest growing economy. Due to low inflation, strong foreign exchange reserves and favorable environment for investors, the country has received twice the foreign direct investment (FDI) in the last 10 years as compared to the previous decade."
Chief Minister Pramod Sawant said on this occasion that Goa is committed to contributing to the vision of Prime Minister Modi. He said, "Today we are here to present the new Goa, which is ready to emerge as a vibrant investment destination in the future. We are working towards making the state a thriving hub of emerging industries beyond tourism, which will give Goa recognition on the global map.'' Former Union Minister Suresh Prabhu said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, India is one of the lowest risk countries in terms of risk analysis. Various sessions, business-to-business meetings and other events will be organized in this three-day 'Amazing Goa Global Business Summit' 2024 to attract investments in the coastal state.
