Rahul Gandhi requested for a 2-day discussion in both houses of Parliament

Rahul Gandhi said in the letter that I am writing this letter to you on behalf of all the opposition parties, requesting a two-day discussion in both the Houses of Parliament on the historic occasion of the 75th anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution of India by the Constituent Assembly. This will take forward the special ceremony organized in the Central Hall today. This historic occasion provides an invaluable opportunity for all MPs to collectively reflect on the legacy of Dr. BR Ambedkar. Rahul Gandhi said in the letter that there have been many examples of such special discussions before. In 2015, both the Houses held a two-day, 13-hour discussion to celebrate the 125th birth anniversary of Dr. Ambedkar on 26 November. We also discussed in both the Houses to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the Quit India Movement on 9 August 2017 and the 75th anniversary of the country's independence in 2022.

Let us tell you that the debate on the Constitution is scheduled for two days in both the houses of Parliament. The discussion will be held in Lok Sabha on 13-14 December and in Rajya Sabha on 16-17 December. There will be a debate on the 75th anniversary of the Constitution in Lok Sabha on 13 and 14 December. After this, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will reply on 14 December. At the same time, MPs will discuss this issue in Rajya Sabha on 16 and 17 December. Union Home Minister Amit Shah will start the discussion in Rajya Sabha.
