Shiv Sena UTB Praises CM Fadnavis: Shiv Sena (UTB) on Friday praised Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis for his efforts to transform the Naxal-affected Gadchiroli district into a 'steel city'. Shiv Sena (UTB) has set a rare example by praising Fadnavis since the undivided Shiv Sena broke away from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in 2019.

Uddhav's Shiv Sena praised CM Fadnavis

In an editorial in its mouthpiece 'Saamana', the party described Fadnavis as 'Deva Bhau' and said he visited Maharashtra's Gadchiroli district on New Year's eve and started a new chapter of development. Gadchiroli, located on Maharashtra's eastern border, is often called the last district of the state. During his visit to Gadchiroli two days ago, the chief minister had said that Maharashtra would soon be free from the Naxal problem in view of the increase in the number of surrendered Naxalites.

He inaugurated the 32-km-long Gatta-Gardevada-Vangeturi road in the district as well as the Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) bus service on the Vangeturi-Gardevada-Gatta-Aheri route. He also inaugurated the steel plant of 'Lloyds Metals and Energy Limited'.

Fadnavis and Uddhav met recently

In its editorial, the Shiv Sena (UTB) said that it appears that Fadnavis will do something new in the district and bring positive change in the lives of the tribals there. About two weeks ago, Shiv Sena (UTB) chief Uddhav Thackeray met the Chief Minister in Nagpur. The relationship between the two leaders had soured after the alliance between the undivided Shiv Sena and the BJP broke down in the year 2019. The editorial said, "If what the Chief Minister has said is true then it is a positive development for Maharashtra."

The party said that "Deva Bhau" (Fadnavis) needs to show that the steps taken for the development of Gadchiroli are for the benefit of common people and poor tribals and not for any mining baron. It said, "Guns rule in Beed. Yet, if the Constitution rules in Gadchiroli, then Chief Minister Fadnavis deserves praise." When asked about the party praising him, Fadnavis said, "It is a good thing. Thank you."
