Atal Bihari Vajpayee became PM thrice
Former Prime Minister of India Atal Bihari Vajpayee was born on this day in 1924. He was one of the founders of the Bharatiya Janata Party. He became the Prime Minister of the country three times. His first term was only 13 days in 1996. After this, he became the Prime Minister again in 1998 and held this post for 13 months. In the year 1999, he became the Prime Minister of the country for the third time. He was the first non-Congress leader who completed his term as Prime Minister.

The Prime Minister also paid tribute to freedom fighter Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya on his birth anniversary. In a post on 'X', he said, "My heartfelt tributes to Mahamana Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya ji on his birth anniversary. Apart from being an active freedom fighter, he remained a pioneer of education in India throughout his life. His incomparable contribution to the country will always remain an inspiration."
