JSW Energy 's Largest Acquisition: JSW Energy, a renewable energy company promoted by billionaire Sajjan Jindal, has announced its largest acquisition to date. JSW Energy on Friday informed that its subsidiary company JSW Neo is set to acquire a 4,696 MW renewable energy platform from O2 Power. O2 Power is a platform jointly set up by EQT Infrastructure and Temasek. As part of this deal, JSW Group company O2 Power will acquire Midco Holdings and O2 Energy SG. The deal is yet to be approved by the Competition Commission of India (CCI).
Valuation will be Rs 12,468 crore
This will be JSW Energy's largest acquisition to date, the company said in a statement. The transaction will value the platform at around Rs 12,468 crore.

JSW Energy-O2 Power Deal
O2 Power is a renewable energy platform with a capacity of 4,696 MW – of which 2,259 MW will be operational by June 2025, 1,463 MW is currently under construction, and an additional 974 MW are in the pipeline, scheduled for commissioning by June 2027.
The blended average tariff of the platform is Rs 3.37/kWh.
These capacities are spread across seven resource-rich states in India. JSW Energy said the acquisition will increase the company's locked-in generation capacity by 23% from 20,012 MW to 24,708 MW.
