Jagan Mohan Reddy cancels Tirumala Trip: YSRCP chief Jagan Mohan Reddy canceled Tirumala trip amid growing demand from NDA allies for 'faith declaration' . Earlier, he launched a scathing attack on the TDP government. Jagan Mohan Reddy attacked the TDP government in Andhra Pradesh and said that now demons are in power in the state as he has never seen political parties creating such obstacles even for visiting a temple.

Increased pressure on 'declaration of confidence'

The attack came after former CM Jagan Mohan Reddy canceled his visit to Tirumala temple amid the Tirupati Laddu controversy. Reddy was scheduled to reach Tirumala on Friday night and visit the temple on Saturday. Hours before departing from Tadepalle for Tirupati, Jagan decided to cancel his visit amid growing demand for giving a 'declaration of faith' and security concerns.

Attacked Naidu and Nara Lokesh

The YSRCP alleged that the state police, under the orders of Chandrababu Naidu and Minister Nara Lokesh, had issued warnings to YSRCP leaders ahead of Reddy's visit and directed them not to participate. After canceling his visit, Jagan Reddy held a press conference in which he said that the police were issuing notices to YSRCP leaders and cadres given my Tirumala visit. The police have clearly stated in the notices to YSRCP leaders that there is no permission to visit Tirumala. Why do we need police permission to visit the temple? Demons are ruling the state now, Jagan Mohan said.

Said- demon rule continues in the state

The YSRCP chief said, demon rule continues in the state. The government is trying to create hurdles in my upcoming visit to Tirumala temple. The police have issued notices to YSRCP leaders across the state regarding the temple visit. The notice states that the visit to Tirumala temple is not permitted, and the event organized by the YSRCP does not have the required approval. As a result, the leaders are not allowed to participate in that event.

What is the declaration of faith?

A declaration of faith expresses a person's belief in a religion, and is often made during religious rituals. Declarations of faith may be made to oneself, to a deity, or to other members of a religion. Opposition parties allege that Jagan Mohan has not signed the declaration of faith to date.
