Jaipur: An Indigo flight had to make an emergency landing after a bomb threat. The plane has landed safely at Jaipur airport. It is being told that Indigo flight 6E-98 was going from Dammam to Lucknow. During this time, there was a commotion due to the bomb threat. The flight had to be landed in an emergency situation in a hurry. Currently, the plane has been stopped on the isolation way of the airport.

Flight in no movement zone

Security personnel have cordoned off the area around the plane. A no-movement zone of about 100 meters around the helicopter has been made. The flight will be sent back to Lucknow only after a complete plane check. However, it is not yet known who is giving the bomb threat. An Indigo plane coming from Saudi Arabia to Lucknow was landed in an emergency situation here on Tuesday after receiving a bomb threat. An airport official said that the plane had left for Lucknow from Dammam airport in Saudi Arabia. The official said that the plane was sent to Jaipur for an emergency landing. The plane has currently been parked at a different place and its security is being checked.

IndiGo said in a statement that we are aware of the situation related to flight number 6E98 from Dammam to Lucknow. The safety of our passengers and crew is our top priority and we are working closely with the concerned authorities and taking all necessary precautions as per the guidelines.

The flight made an emergency landing in Ayodhya

Similarly, around 3:30 pm, an Air India Express flight had to make an emergency landing at Ayodhya airport after a bomb threat was reported. An Air India Express spokesperson said in a statement that Air India Express, along with some other operators, received a threat from an unverified social media account. In response, security protocols were immediately activated as per the instructions of the government-appointed bomb threat assessment committee. The flight landed safely and the plane will be approved for flying only after following all mandatory security procedures. There were 132 passengers on board the Boeing 737-Max 8 aircraft. According to an aviation company official, the plane was coming from Jaipur and was going to Bengaluru after a brief stopover in Ayodhya.

Bomb threats to four flights

Official sources said that bomb threat posts were issued from an 'X' account on four flights, including an Air India Express flight from Jaipur to Bengaluru via Ayodhya (flight number IX765), a SpiceJet flight from Darbhanga to Mumbai (flight number SG116), an Akasa Air flight from Siliguri to Bengaluru (flight number QP1373) and an Air India flight from Delhi to Chicago (USA) (flight number AI127).
