A conspiracy to overturn a train in Kanpur has come to light. It is said that there was an attempt to carry out the incident by placing a small gas cylinder on the track, which had been foiled. A small gas cylinder was kept on the track near Prempur railway station of Maharajpur, Kanpur. On seeing the cylinder, the loco pilot immediately stopped the train, so no accident occurred.

Police and railway officials are on the spot and investigating. It should be noted that this is the third such incident in Kanpur recently. At present, RPF, GRPS, and UP Police are investigating the place where the cylinder was found on the track along with the dog squad. The locations around the track are being investigated.

Notably, before this, the engine and 20 bogies of the Sabarmati Express had derailed near the Panki industrial area. The loco pilot had claimed that an attempt was made to overturn the train by placing a piece of iron track. Similarly, an attempt was made to overturn a train on the Kanpur-Kasganj railway route by putting a gas cylinder between the tracks.
